Souzetsu is a modern city, thriving in technological advances. There has always been the protection for gifteds in the bustle of the city, and the safety in the alleyways. Hence, there was always a reputation for Souzetsu being a city of freaks.
A strong gifted called Jaques Turant, someone known to work behind the scenes on Drug laundering, opened a Gifted School which was sneakily controlled by him. It only ever took in one group of students, and had few teachers, including a Scientist who had expertise in gifteds and their powers. The school was closed once every student had graduated, and the gathering of gifteds began to attract more.
Long ago, a gifted came to the city, once who was extremely dangerous. With every breath she drew, she poisoned the air further and further, making everyone ill. Many of the gifteds had the gene which made them immune, but only with a certain amount.
Scientists were paid millions in resources and laboratorys to try and help cure the disease, but most had died once they were infected. When the disease was in the early stages, Dr Muraki Daijo was looking into it, playing with new chemicals. He was already immune, and a accident with a chemical gave him a gifted eye, which he could use to help the sick.
Two groups of gifteds rose through the troubled times, one was unnamed, helping doctors cure the humans, saving the city and helping to destroy the disease. The other was made of winged gifteds, Troy Temple, Viempar Aethalon, Roy Horough and Jaques Turant. They wrecked the city, burning and collapsing buildings, killing the sick, weak and dying. They aimed to rule the city, destroying the humans and keeping the revolting gifteds as slaves and warriors.
A fight between the City's police and squads versus The Winged Ones left the upper part of The Beacon deserted and covered in blood. This sent the other gifteds into uproar, fighting against The Winged Ones at every chance, in the street and in the Beacon itself. During many fights, Muraki worked behind the scenes finding an eventual cure for the disease. He gave it to every Pharmacy and eventually the City began tp pick itself up. Feeling the defeat, Jaques left the group, leaving Viempar to lead. Roy engaged in a battle alone, but his powers were weak and he was murdered brutally. Both of the groups began to go back into hiding, waiting until another crisis erupted.
Now, more and more gifted had been flooding to the city, and people began choosing sides, the line between the two becoming more and more defined. This was all leading up to a final collision between the two, deciding once again if the City should be ruled over by Gifteds, or left to the humans again.
