The road here is closed off at the end, but literally. Beyond the block is a single well, closed over with a giant slab. That is because people have had tendencies to fall down it, even though there's a wall surrounding this dark hole. Some say people have been dumped there after they were murdered in a nearby street called Otome Street. Others think that people committed suicide here. Seven people have been discovered here. Once when the slab was placed. The place is almost completely covered by trees, and they lean dramatically over the muddy road so cars cannot drive through anymore.

Cyrus was pacing down the street, almost jogging. He was in such a rush to get away, he just wanted to return to a familiar surrounding. The rain was cold against his cheeks and the path felt sticky beneath his feet. As he walked, his eyes darted about searching the shadows for someone. Searching for danger. Following in his footsteps was a dog. A huge vicious looking dog, spit was frothing at its muzzle. But Cyrus seem unfazed and continued along the sidewalk. "Almost there... It's alright, Sehit" he said manically.

Soshi took a look at the path that seemed to stretch into darkness. He leant forward, glancing forward as if to focus on what was in the distance, but all he could see was a large metal gate at the end of the tree tunnel. He stepped forward, drawn by the breath of the voices beyond. He breathed slowly, his eyes narrowing. What was this place? Then, he caught a glimpse of a man, also confronting the area and, closely at his heels, was a ferocious looking dog. Soshi frowned at the odd pair and turned his body to face them, staring straight into the man's face. "What a dog," he said bluntly. "I wouldn't go down there if I were you." He nodded his head in the direction of the tree-surrounding gate.

The new arrival startled him, the man just seemed to appear infront of him. He was probably engulfed in his own little world, as usual. "It's not a dog." he stared simply. His guardian glowed slightly as it began to fade away into the shadows. Cyrus pocketed the lighter he had in his hand. "And I'll do what I damn well please" he said flipping his hair to show his scar.

Soshi glanced down at the 'not a dog' as it disappeared like fading fire. He then realised that that was exactly what it was. He frowned again, but at a higher level at this man's attitude. "Don't you feel the dangerous vibes coming from down there?" He asked, his a flicker of annoyance found in his voice. "It's got death written all over it." He tugged on his jacket collar cooly, his chin lifted and his eyes looking down on this strange man. He was clearly one of those rough folk, with surprisingly attractive hair. Soshi grumbled to himself, trying to ignore THAT fact. He suddenly noticed something and his eyes widened. "You're gifted, aren't you?"

"Well duh... And what makes you think that?" Cyrus said sarcastically. Each time a rain droplet splashed onto his head, it seemed to dissappear instantly. The man standing in front of him seemed annoyed as Cyrus observed him closely. He felt angry, he didn't know why, but he did. Then he realised, he must be gifted too. His brain clicked. "What's down there?" He grinned, showing a row of perfectly white teeth. "Like I don't know..."

Soshi rolled his eyes, but chose to tolerate another gifted person. "I'm gifted too, yes." Soshi said, as if he knew exactly what this man was thinking. However, he did not want to demonstrate his powers just for the sake of it, that would just tire him. He looked down the path again, his eyes bulging slightly; he blinked and snapped back, thinking about all kinds of things. "Well, it's been blocked off, so it's not going to be anything healthy, is it?" Soshi snapped, as if this man was asking for an arguement. "This city is screwed up, to be honest."

"Tell me about it." Cyrus laughed. His head was swirling with secrets. He couldn't understand why the man seemed so open about the fact he had powers, Cyrus could have been anyone, but it's a good job he didn't feel threatened by him. It had been a bad night. He felt pretty psycho. "Can I ask you something, what is your power?" He asked quietly. "I mean... Is it useful to you? Or does it hinder you?"

Soshi relaxed his brow, loosening his muscles at the sound of the man's less fiercesome side. He smiled as the man laughed. "Well, first of all, my name is..." he thought briefly, unsure whether saying he name was a good idea. "Call me Pendulum, for now," he decided to answer. He put his hand on his ponytail and figetted with it, humming. "My power isn't as useful at the moment," he said. "Having supersonic speed isn't at all helpful when I don't confront anyone or meet any form of action, excitement..." he groaned, humour hinted in his eyes. "I wish I knew this city more. It's clearly interesting, but nothing has been shown to me. "What exactly was that dog?" he asked, looking at the empty space on the floor where it had been.

Cyrus smiled slightly, he felt calmer now that there was no immediate threat. "Oh, that was Sehit. He is my fire guardian." Cyrus rushed. The end of the street was calling to him, he was starting to feel strange. "I can manipulate fire... You see." He said pulling his lighter back out his pocket, he flicked it open and the flame burst into life, Cyrus blinked once and the dog jumped from it's flame again. "Well, I can manipulate a lot of things." He muttered. He looked into 'Pendulums' eyes and could sense he was friendly. He wondered, who is this guy? Is he like me? Why won't he show his powers? "Excuse me. Do you know what happened down there?" He asked, hiding the knowledge from his voice. He was surprised how curious he sounded.

Looking with amazement at the blazing creature, he began to feel his own hands heat up, as if the fires in his body were ready to join in with a flaming dance. "Well, I have a secondary power," he explained. And at that, he held out his palm, clicked his fingers and a tall flame drew itself out from his fingertips, making a cage of fire. "We're quite similar." Then, he threw it to the ground at it went out as it hit the damp puddle before his feet, steam floating upwards from the floor. "This city is unfamiliar to me, I do not know." Soshi began searching the man's eyes. "What's your name then? Where are you from?"

"My name is not important. Nobody knows I exist. It is not known to anyones ears around here. And I was born here in this very city." The puddle beneath his feet was steaming. He felt an urge to change it, but he was trying to resist. He hadn't used his powers to manipulate anything except fire for years, it might change him, it might alter him. "I know it sounds strange, but I can guide you." he offered the stranger. "I know the safe places, and this is not safe." The dog at his heels whimpered sympathetically. Its tail wagged and it started to become anxious and restless. "You can come with me. If you like. I live down here." he tried to amend his impoliteness of before. "It's not safe to be alone here, certainly not when you are gifted."

While admiring the two strangers walking away, a tall dark mystic creature was standing on the roof of a very small nobbly building, wondering on weather to introduce itself, it sat and waited until the sun had gone down.

"You know where I live, if you ever need to call on me." Cyrus muttered He started to walk away, looking dead ahead, almost as if he had never had stopped to talk to the man. He was heading home; back to isolation. Wait... "I'm not a bad man." he called suddenly, turning his head to shout behind him.

Soshi scratched his head with confusion. "You never told me where you lived. You're rather stupid," he called after before taking a step, ignoring the man on the roof nearby and sprinting away to a much more familiar street.
