Shouja pulled the trigger and a huge blue blast sent his body cascading towards the ceiling above him. He felt cold and damp, and then all went black except his innermost consciousness. He could feel his life slipping away, he could feel his very soul tearing itself from his living tissue, he knew it was the end. His mind was at peace as he felt his aura breaking, splitting, separating as he fell to pieces to become part of the world around him. He was dead. suddenly he felt an excruciating pain, so much that he could feel his very mind being twisted and crushed and tortured inexplicably as every pain and hurt was endowed to him as his soul was forced and fused to a new being, one he was alien in. The pain was immense, his vision just red, a deafening high-pitched ringing it his ears and a putrid metal taste in his mouth, he was defenceless, a writhing subject of pain crossing a huge space not meant to be crossed. BANG! Unsuspecting, he rocketed into the ground of a new place, although he felt no pain at the impact. Just managing to force his eyes open, he looked around at his new surroundings, which was where, exactly? he thought. He wasnt anywhere familiar, that was for sure. It was a city, a living city. After years spent in decimated ruins it was a comforting sight so see streetlamps and cobblestone paving. He quickly looked around as his senses adjusted, his automatic reaction to align with the hostile environment in case of attack. Sufficiently happy with his surroundings, Shouja began to walk forward slowly, each step slow and careful as he tested the new ground.

Spike had left as soon as Vi had commanded, meaning that the boy had not walked far from where he fell when Spike found him. He was frail and thin, his feet were not feet, and there was something wrong with his hands, something not obvious, but dangerous. He leapt down from his perch on the streetlamp and landed behind the boy, almost silently. He waited until he had pulled his wings in fully, and then cleared his throat loudly, trying to catch his attention without scaring him. "You a'ight, Kid?" He asked, his accent dropping some letter and making his way of speech much more like a string of vowels and bare lip movement.

Stunned by the appearance of a stranger quiet and quick enough to evade his accute attention, Shouja wheeled round, his body becoming intangible as he turned and the talons on his fingers growing visibly as he rose them as if to box. His legs tensed, the mans voice was like ice to him, the first like it he had heard. The accent was strong but he could make it out, not entirely sure of the language but understanding the general intended meaning of a greeting. Answering in the tongue he was sure the stranger had used, he replied, "Yeah, just a little lost is all. Long way from home I think. Tell me, creature, where am I?"
His voice betrayed his readiness to fight and the stranger seemed to grow, or else the wings on his back were being unfurled. Sensing the strangers discomfort and not wanting enemies already in this new place, he added, "It's okay. I mean well, friend" he lowered his guard and raised his chin to expose his now tangible neck, his way of showing peace.

Spike was confused and slightly amused at this weirdo's behaviour. However, he took a liking to him and his odd little ways almost immediately. He laughed heartily and walked over to the guy. He didn't feel threatened by the kid, even though he had struck a defensive pose a moment ago. He strode up to him and offered his hand. "Call me Spike, this is Kotetsu Close in Souzetsu City, home to the weirdos." He stated clearly, motioning with his other hand at the sign beside him. "So what brings you here, Stranger?" He asked.

Shouja sensed good in the man, and his apparent lack of concern at his hostility made him feel more relaxed. Taking the hand offered, he replied, "Great to meet you Spike. Now not pressing forwards or anything but now I know where I am I can tell you that I am Shouja Mercury, last of the peace clan. My home is obviously far from here, a place called Elysirite City. Its not much of a city anymore though, the people there are hostile with everyone fighting. Its nice to see a friendly face. Oh, and by the way, do you have anything to eat, I'd rather not discuss how exactly I just fell from your sky on an empty stomach. And if there are more of you, I'd like to meet your people. You have wings and I hunger for knowledge."

Spike smiled at the firm handshake, withdrawing his hand to stick it in his pocket lazily. He stuck out his chin curiously gazing at the boy. "I can find you something to eat, although I don't know if you're ready to meet any of the other's yet, they're in a little bit of a crisis." He scratched the back of his neck and rustled his feathers in the wind. He'd left his jacket on the roof and was beginning to run out of things to cover his wings. It was morning, but early so people weren't really out yet. They were luckily stood in a overshadowed street and their conversation didn't attract too much unwanted attention. "Listen, those scabby humans will start waking up soon, and they're gonna start trying to get rid of us. We're not exactly normal or wanted in this City, we keep a low profile." He looked behind him, trying to find some sort of jacket shop or clothing store they could rob. "Right, at the end of this street, there's a shopping mall. It's small but it'll have clothes and food. You'll need to wear something to cover up your ...um....feet? How fast can you get there, we'll need some long trousers and a big leather jacket for me. You're less conspicuous than me, go steal something and bring it to the bins at the side. I'll see you in ten." He unfurled his wings and jumped slightly, gaining height quickly with each thrust of his wings. He soon reached over the buildings and was gliding towards the bins beside the mall.

Ha, though Shouja, how quick? He had no idea. Within seconds he had phased out and shot like a bullet into the mall at the end. He could move very fast, as Spike would soon find, supersonic if he needed to although the oppurtunity rarely presented itself. He scanned the shelves with a precise eye, he had thought of his senses as keen until now, but with Spike having breached that awareness he came to terms with himself, his were nothing compared to Spikes. Still, he had one asset that no-one knew about, he was fast, very fast. Thats why he had 'funny feet', they possessed a small anti-grav effect which enabled him frictionless acceleration, coupled with his phase-in/phase-out ability and he was the perfect thief, invisible. Quickly gathering all the food he could, he phased it all out and delivered it to the bins Spike had indicated. He then dashed back inside and gathered almost all the clothing in the store and brought that to their rendevue also, quicker than lightening, he would say. He loved doing this. He stood propped against a wall near the bins grinning at Spike, the look on his face illustrating his mirth.
