Name: Namine (Nom-i-nay) Jackson
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Alliance: The Saviors
Appearance: Five foot two, with long red hair and bright violet eyes. Has a preference for darker-colored clothes, especially black. Prefers comfortable clothes over what's in fashion, but if she can find something cute - and it happens to be in fashion - she won't hesitate to buy it. Usually pulls her hair back into a pony-tail, though her wavy hair is so unruly that some hair is always loose. Has a scar under her left eye from an accident when she was a child, though she refuses to speak of it. Also has a scar on her chin; when asked about it, her reply is always different. Carries a kodachi - a Japanese short sword that can be swung quickly and easily - as well as a few hidden daggers.
Personality: Namine is pretty lazy, though when she's in the middle of a fight she's as energetic and skilled as the next person. She's observant and prefers to be out of the limelight, watching everyone else. She enjoys reading and loves to laugh, though she's uncomfortable around new people and comes off as cold at times. She's fiercely loyal and protective of those she cares about, and has a temper (though it takes quite a bit to get her angry). She's stubborn as well, and will argue if she believes she's right. She's got a sharp tongue, and isn't afraid to use it (though she knows there are times it's best to bite her tongue and leave things be). She hates talking about herself, and likes to tease people by purposely avoiding their questions.
Powers: Can take the shape of any person she's come into contact with, but can't stay in the form indefinitely. The time limit for each form is varied and depends largely on the condition Namine's body is in. Has an affinity for animals, but can in no way speak with them. Has a sort of sixth-sense when darkness is nearby, though at times it's difficult to pinpoint the source. Loves fire, and it seems to respond to her.
Weaknesses: Hates talking about her past, and if someone brings it up she gets upset and unpredictably quickly. She gets sleepy when it's cold, and heat makes her grumpy and miserable.
History: Born in a middle-sized village many miles away from Souzetsu City, to a family that was well-off but too poor to be considered rich, she had a normal, average childhood. She liked reading and creating stories, so she had no friends but one: a girl around the same age named Hikaru. When she was eleven years old, her older brother grew sick with an illness of the like none had ever seen. It caused him to loose his mind, and for a change of scenery, Namine's family went on vacation. While on vacation, he attacks the family and in self defense, Namine kills him. Upon returning to the village, she finds it in ruins from an attack. Hitchiking and catching rides, she manages to get to Souzetsu City. While there, she trained relentlessly until she was seventeen to aquire skills she thought she'd need to fight. At the age of 18 she acquired the scar under her chin after a fight in a club.
Roleplay Sample: The rain made everything damp and chilly, which caused many humans to grumble half-heartedly about the wretched weather. Wrapped in a long-length jacket which kept most of the chill out, Namine sat in the darkest corner and sipped her rum and coke. The usual people were gathered in the loud, rambunctious club - one similar to the dozens of others in the city - but the young woman had received news that a particularily vicious human had begun to frequent the club, always surrounded by equally cruel friends. Excited by the information, Namine had immediately made preparations to locate the club and check out the validity of the information.
Her 'Stay Back' aura seemed to be doing the trick - nobody had approached her, not a single man brave enough to ask for a dance. This was good, made her less noticeable if a newcomer happened to enter. Activity in her corner would definitely draw attention, something she didn't need at this point.
When the door opened, Namine forced herself to stay relaxed and in pose, though she allowed herself to stare at the one who entered, since everybody else was doing the same. A lack of interest would be most suspicious, since it was human nature to glance up when someone entered a room.
The man took a seat in the corner directly across from Namine's, and didn't even bother looking around the room to spot suspicious people. That confident in your abilities, eh? Namine thought with amusement. We'll see how long that lasts! Sure that her target had arrived, Namine finished off her drink and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. Feeling her lips twitch up in a smile as the anticipation grew for the fight about to begin, Namine flipped up her jacket's hood and stood. Dropping some money beside her cup and stepping around the table in one smooth motion, Namine drew a dagger from beneath her shirt and mentally steeled herself for what was to come.
"Time to begin..." she whispered, her grip loosening on the dagger to prepare it for throwing.
With that, Namine attacked.
