A basic street? Yes, mainly. It has street lamps, some broken and litter shoved into the cracks of the path. What makes it a different street is that, for some reason, the sunlight doesn't reach it, not even when it's right above the street. And also, the scars on the walls are splattered with dried, crimson blood. Some say that all of the strange disappearances of humans occured here - it's no wonder that the place is entirely blocked off. Except for one thin gap any person could side-step through around the back. Somebody could easily walk down this road, despite the police's efforts to close it off.
Eolyn exhaled with irritancy and landed on a soot-covered building roof. She knelt down and leant over the edge of it, peering down into the dark street abyss below. Her eyes lit up with interest as she could see something shiny on the street below. It was a little quiet down there too - plus, she needed money. She decided to descend down, through the gap between two buildings in order to land on the abandoned street. Her kaftan didn't move at all when she stood still. There was no wind or light down here except for a few flickering street lamps. She dashed to where she saw the coin, picked it up and noticed it was just a brooch. She growled, was about to throw it away until she observed it closely. It had the initials G.R. on it. She laughed quietly and slipped it into a pouch supported by her belt and sprung up to the sky, leaving the street for now. "Ugh," she says, realising she'd got red stuff on her boots. She reluctantly smelt the bottom of her shoe and cringed when discovering it was blood. But it must've been fresh! "What a weird street..." she muttered.

Heavy footsteps could be heard echoing of the walls in the dimly lit street, Splashing in shallow puddles at the man ran forwards. He panted heavily, his eyes flicking to the figure behind him chasing with no real speed or urgency but still staying close. “"We ask o' thee what art thou?!" The man panicked and turned , slipping through the gap in the wall, stumbling through hoping to lose his aslant. "We are AX. The zealot Judas!!" Said a second voice, sounding disembodied, speaking from the shadows. "In that case, AX, we ask o' thee...what dost thou hold in thy right hand?!" The priest spoke, and again came the same voice, spoken from the shadows. "Daggers!! And poisons!!" It was the perfect plan, he could lose the man following him in the darkness of this creepy street. "In that case, AX, we ask o' thee...what dost thou hold in thy left hand?!" He ran and stopped coming face to face with a wall, long gash etched into the surface, splattered with blood. "Thirty silver pieces!! And a rope!!" A dead end. "In that case, AX , what are thou?!" He turned, pressed against the wall to face the man approaching him. He came ever closer, a flash of red light. Blood bubbled from the mans skin, flowing to his hand and taking the form of a scythe. His hair moved in an invisible wind, his teeth lengthen, his eyes became red with blood, his skin paled. "We art disciples of death. Wielding our daggers in the night and poisoning the evening meal. We art assassins. The assassin Judas!!" The criminal crippled to his knees before the priest “no, no please NO!” “You’re time is up, you must pay for your sins in purgatory!” the voice rumbled deeply, red eyes glared down on the criminal. “Bow down, and pray for forgiveness” the red blade swipes through the air. Blood rains from the cut, spraying across the streets, the criminals body falls limp. Abel looked down on the body , reaching for it he bared his teeth to the wound when he heard a noise above. Acting quickly he sank into the shadows and waited for the intruder to leave. It was a girl, perhaps a pick pocket, going after a broach on the floor. Abel waited until she retreated, stepping back out into the dip street light and towards the body. Watching her go he growled a little, turning his attention back to the blood. It started to move, crawling cross the pavement as if it was alive, crawling into the mans clothes and absorbing directly into his skin. Once every last drop of blood was gone, the priest fell to his knees, his skin and eyes returned to normal, the blade absorbed back into his skin. Panting in pain he rested on his knees before the bloodless body slumped, headless, against the wall.

Spike sat on the roof, his black wings rippling in the wings and the sweat on his skin drying cooly as the breeze caressed his skin. It seemed so peaceful with the night air enveloping him in a shivery embrace, dark with the hidden sun. below him, the scene of a horror movie took place, blood was up the walls and a body on the ground. A vampire like beast hissed through the dark, words that were inaudible from Spike's height. Spike stood, watching the crimson liquid bubble into the vampire's skin. Gruesome as it was, Spike was impressed. This must be one of the gifteds that they were after. He was vicious, outrageous and downright evil. He watched as Eolyn stepped down, his blood pumping harder with lustful ideas. She stooped and looked at her boots. He debated whether to approach her or not, but decided to watch from the rooftops instead. The vampire man had mutated back into a more human form and seemed to be resting on his kness. He jumped across the thin alley-way's rooftops and landed silently on the other side, within perfect range to watch the man's actions without being noticed.

Abel stayed kneeling before the body in silent prayer until his breath had returned to him. He had the strangest feeling he was being watched, better make this quick. He stood, his knees wavered slightly, his body still recovering form its ordeal. He looked around with sorrow in his eyes. This man had deserved to die, but he was still a human being, and Abel still held some regard for his sprit. His head bowed he stepped across the alleyway, to retrieve the head of the criminal. Picking it up gently he placed it with the body no matter how gruesome this was, it had to be done. Looking up to the left he waited. Another figure appeared on the rooftop, swiftly dropping into the street. His hair was long blond and curly, like an angel, but his face betrayed no sign of innocence. “It had to be done” came the mans deep soft voice and he approached Abel, both where dressed in similar uniform. “I know Hugue” Abel said sadly, turning way from the body. “How do you feel” came the blonds flat voice. “I’ve been better” Said Abel, smiling weakly. The blond nodded and walked past Abel, turning to the body with a click of his fingers the body was engulfed in flames, rapidly becoming nothing more than a pile of ashes.

After she'd finished inspecting her shoes, Eolyn cringed, turned to face forward and spotted a guy watching her from the corner of her eye. She sighed deeply, relaxed her shoulders and floated still in the sky. She turned around quickly and noticed that he'd vanished. Shocked and intrigued, Eolyn swooped onto the roof where the man was previously and scouted around it. She checked over the sides and it took a very keen eye to spot that he was actually on a different building. Feeling annoyed with herself she flew towards them and landed behind them, confident that he knew she was there. "Spike!" she whispered, kneeling beside him "there's something weird going on down there." She peered at the two men. She gulped and noticed that there was a dead man in flames. Those men had a strange era. The men must have brought death upon that burning human. They couldn't just do that and act so cool. They must be gifted. It was Eolyn's instinct too anyway. She tapped Spike. "I'm going to find Vi and tell him this..." she muttered in his ear.

The two priests stood in silence for a while, their shadows flickering in the firelight. “Abel…” Said the blond flatly, placing a hand on the taller priests shoulder. “Yes, let’s go home” Abel sighed, feeling very sleepy on his feet. Taking a step forward he stumbled a little. But fortunately the blond was there to silently support him. ”Abel….” The blond said meaningfully, glancing up at the roof. The white haired priest turned around towards the roof. He nodded and with that the blond was out of sight, leaving the Abel alone. Seconds later Father Hughue landed behind the two rooftop spectators. “Who are you” He asked suddenly, as he swiftly drew his sword from his staff , placing the blade tip on the males shoulder.

Spike shivered as Eolyn's breath tickled on the back of his ear, the closeness was touching yet disturbing in these strange surroundings. His wings flicked out as an automatic reaction when she mentioned leaving. He hissed his words back at her as a warning. "Vi isn't our leader, he's working for himself an manipulating you, he doesn't love you, he's using you to get these people and will kill you off when he's done." His eyes were wide with what he'd said, his seriousness shocked himself aswell as others and he lowered his eyes in shame of what he'd said. "Sorry, sweetcheeks. It's just I..." He felt a metal blade on his shoulder and a deep voice behind him. "...Holy...crap..." He muttered, turning round with his arms raised. He charged up the forces he held, magnetic forces circling him slowly. Bolts began to rattle and a rooftile slipped as it's screw shot out over Spike's shoulder. His finger-nails began to slowly grow until they were inches longer. His skin took a metallic sheen and when he moved he clinked. "What's it to you?" He said in answer to the question. His cocky arrogance shining through like a beacon.

Gazing into Spike's suddenly determined eyes, Eolyn listened attentively, taking in his comments on Vi. She sighed sadly. "I don't know what to believe," she muttered, but then she returned with a smile, only for it to be spoiled by the sight of a shining blade on her companion's shoulder. She raised her hands hesitantly copying Spike's actions. Spike attempted to stand up to the man, changing his appearance. Eolyn wanted to put her arm around Spike because there was no way he could possibly get around without being questioned by people, even with his special coat. "Let me handle this," she whispered to him. Then, to the blonde man: "We're sorry, we heard voices while we were up here... our attention got drawn and... if you're wondering why we were hear, well, no-one usually comes here so it... it was like, our alone time, you know?" She'd never sounded so nervous. Perhaps the subject she was talking about made her unsteady and unsure, but perhaps that added to the lie.

Hugh was unfazed by this, he had expected gifted. He clutched the blade tightly, keeping it raised at the metallic man. The blade was not attracted to his magnetic powers, as it was both blessed and constructed from a special metal, only produced by the Vatican for the Ax’s use in combat, It’s non-magnetic, resilient yet flexible, use for everything from guns an blades to armour and jewlry. “Why are you here, what purpose do you have” he asked sternly, disliking the mans tone but remaining calm and flat voiced. He barely blinked as the seconds priests landed behind the two unknown gifted ready to back him up if need be.

The metal that covered his body slowly melted back into his skin. Suddenly needles shot out of Spike's body in every direction. "RUN!" He shouted, grabbing Eolyn's hand and turning. The needles had shot out without exiting slowly, creating small cuts all over him. His face, legs, arms, chest, back, all of his body bled slowly. Determined and hardly feeling the pain he jumped down into the alleyway, stumbling as he realised his wings wouldn't open. "Shit Shit Shit....I can't fly! They won't open!" He tried to pull them apart and feathers began to fall behind him. They came to a dead end of an alley and he turned to Eolyn, fear flicking in his eye, the arrogant glow missing from his eye. "Help! I can't fucking fly!" He kicked the wall beside him and fearfully looked behind him. "Did they follow?" He asked, feeling a cool breeze dry the blood on his back. He examined his wings and saw the spikes, long and thin. They had stabbed his wings and pinned them on him, not allowing any movement without excrciating pain. "Eolyn." He said, the name feeling strange on his lips. "Please...Do something."

"Spike! Stop being so rational!" Eolyn cried when he'd grabbed hold of her, hoping to escape. "We... could... have... lied!" she grumbled. "No-one ever lets the girl do the work," but now she concentrated on escaping. When her companion's body bled drastically, she panicked, though she couldn't do anything, making her even more worried. She glanced at the man they were escaping from, who was suddenly out of sight as the pair of them fell off the building. "Hold on Spike!" she shouted and grabbed onto both of his wrists and tried to pull him upwards in order to fly. She suddenly felt weakened, and it wasn't because of Spike. "What's... going on?!" she gasped, heaving him into the air "am I getting weaker?!" her head was bursting with pain. She'd reached her limit and they were only a couple of metres above the ground. "I'm sorry..." she said dropping him and breathing out with weariness. Maybe she'd not meditated enough. She didn't understand. The stranger would come after them for sure.

“Abel get down!” Hugh called out to his partner quickly, shielding himself with his prosthetic arms, suffering little more than a few needles imaged into his thigh. “Abel?” “I’m fine” came the reply, Abel had sensed the changes in the mans blood and had managed to evade the needs by what seemed like magic. the blond nodded and ran after the pair, dropping into the always gracefully behind them. ”Hughue wait!” Abel called after the other franticly stumbling after him, exhausted from his earlier ordeal he struggled to meet the others speed. Hughue kept the pain in sight following them around into the alley, they would only have run if they where guilty of something. Coming into the dead end he smiled and slowed down, drawing his blade again and approaching the two. “I will ask once more, Why where you watching us, No lies” he said, looking at the girl meaningfully past his long blind hair.

Spike fell to his needs, trying to retract the needles into his back. They were almost wedged into the bones in his wings. Finally which a 'shunck' noise they moved back in and he groaned, his wings opening and closing slowly. "Ouch..." He said, wiping some of the droplets of blood off his arms, tutting at the stains in his trousers. "Sweetcheeks, when you next drop me, find some nice soft ground...mm'kay?" He said with a hint of spite. He stood up, leaning heavily on the wall. "Well when vampires wander the street and kill innocent people, we are the first on the scene to come and find out why. Can I ask why you guys feel the need to murder helpless humans?" He put on the macho act easily. Slipping into his role of hero he crossed his fingers behind his back towards Eolyn. Hopefully she would twig, inspired by her idea of lieing anyway, and join.

At first, when he winced, Eolyn looked upon Spike with worry. But when he said a sentence that made her feel weak, her heart was stabbed with an invisible arrow. She scowled quickly to herself, then focused. She listened to Spike's strange words and realised he was simply lying. He cared nothing for humans. She had a faint feeling it was her task to join in. "I... I bet you guys are on the run!" she spluttered "because... you're murderers and everyone hates you for being different. You're like angsty teenagers!" She laughed weakly, nudging Spike obviously as part of her act. "Spike and I just happened to be at the scene... we're sorry you interrupted our love scene!" she sniggered and gulped, begging and begging for this to subside.

Spike looked at her with wide eyes. It was obvious they were going to be rumbled with her terrible display of acting skills. He buried his head in his hands and raised his arms in exasperation. "Okay, we were spying 'cause it looked like trouble. We are scouting members to help save the humans, and we saw you people. We'll leave you be if you just let us go. No hard feelings?" He tilted his hand so he was offering a friendly handshake, the nice guy routine still not dropping.
